We invite you to explore the places we’ve visited by scrolling down and clicking the green buttons or regions on the maps.
We are Steve & Karen and we fell in love with cross country travel in 1973 when we honeymooned on a long rambling tent camping trip. Since retirement we regularly hitch up our nüCamp [email protected] 400 teardrop trailer and venture out for long rambling trips to visit national parks and historic sites as well as family and friends spending six or more months a year on the road. When we’re on the road we blog at least daily featuring the places we visit and the comforts we enjoy along the way.
For our current day to day adventures, see our blog, and consider subscribing so that you will receive an email each time we post a new adventure.

Totally Awesome Places
Often off the beaten path, we’ve got some spots to which we keep returning or intensely want to return. Incredible campgrounds, museums, beaches, national parks, lighthouses and more. Check back often, this is an ever growing collection of favorites.
National Parks and Worthwhile Places
We love our National Parks, and encourage you to explore the iconic places like Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, we have discovered so many awesome places that deserve your attention. State Parks that should have been National Parks, Museums that knocked our socks off, peaceful camping places, and quirky roadside attractions! Click on a region then explore these great places by state!
- Note that at the top of many posts, especially National Parks, we’ve created a green button at the top that is a link to a video about the park or location.
For the most part we weren’t particular fans of the boring history classes that we had back in our school days but we love these historic places that really bring the people and events to life!
Another way to explore is to click on an individual state. There you will find not only all the National Parks and Worthwhile Places but posts about additional campgrounds, restaurants, and interesting highways.
Road Trip Adventures
Most years since 2008 we’ve had the opportunity to head out on a lengthy road trip lasting a month or more. Here we’ve collated our posts from those trips. Click on the signpost photo then choose one of the trips.
