The last couple of hours we have been poking along the beach highway looking for geocaches. We found some in Waveland, Pass Christian, and Long Beach. All three have been secreted in oak trees!  In two instances we parked parallel to the beach and walked to the cache site. One was cleverly hidden inside a hollowed out oak branch! Another one was hidden on the campus of Gulf Park College  (now a campus of University of Southern Mississippi) in Long Beach. The treat there was walking past the sculpted tree in the median of the highway!  Then as we drove through Biloxi we made a spur of the moment decision to stop for shrimp and oysters at Shaggy’s, a beach restaurant that promises to operate on Island Time!
Cobh on Our Own
For our first adventure together on the Emerald Isle, we walked the streets of Cobh, County Cork, explored St Colman’s Cathedral, and visited the Cobh Heritage Center.
