After a wonderful Christmas feast with all the extended family gathered around the extended table in the dining room, and a spirited gift exchange, the our household quieted down to unprecedented levels. Everyone went home to their own places including CJ. She spent her first night in her own apartment in Tampa on Christmas night. The two of us were alone again after having children living with us for twenty-eight years and twenty-six days, but who’s counting?
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
