Didn’t take a single picture today. Gloried in a day at home with few things that we had to do. We slept in until eight and missed the sunrise. Spent time reading, knitting, exploring podcasts on technology, wrapping Christmas presents, and so on. Met CJ at Gateway and had a quick meal with her, ran one errand, then went home and settled in for a quiet evening. Made grilled sandwiches on the panini press and indulged in a brew.
Dakar, Senegal: A Wolof Village & The Pink Lake

Our own excursion took us on a coach journey through the streets of the capital city to visit a Wolof village and the shore of Lake Retba, the salty lake famed for an intense pink color.
