Lots of friends, old and new, for a total of 93 people, gathered at the Madison Clubhouse to celebrate our 17th Annual Deck Day. It was a wonderful party. Friends came to share good food and play the day away. The traditional 3D puzzle was a centerpiece but had to compete with a Wii, card games, Yahtzee, Uno, and balloon animals. Thank you everyone for making our last Deck Day in St Petersburg a wonderful success. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. See you next year in North Carolina!
Dakar, Senegal: A Wolof Village & The Pink Lake
Queen Mary 2’s arrival in the Port of Dakar, Senegal was heralded in the local press and greeted with ceremony. Our own excursion took us on a coach journey through the streets of the capital city to visit a Wolof village and the shore of Lake Retba, the salty lake famed for an intense pink color.
