We spent today loading the rented 12 foot Penske truck almost to the brim with a lot of our belongings. The apartment at the Madison is now furnished with not much more than the bare minimum! We could not have gotten the truck loaded without Greg’s help. Then after dinner we hugged Greg good bye as he left St Petersburg for a final evening with friends in Tampa before returning to his Boston home.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
