Spent the better part of the day sorting through files both paper and electronic, getting ready to transfer the paper sort to the NC house and back-up the electronic ones to an external hard drive. Managed to do some fun things too: a long walk downtown, our Monday (rescheduled) lunch with Vivian, finishing a weaving project, dinner with Alex, and Wednesday Night Swing Dance!

Queen Mary 2’s arrival in the Port of Dakar, Senegal was heralded in the local press and greeted with ceremony. Our own excursion took us on a coach journey through the streets of the capital city to visit a Wolof village and the shore of Lake Retba, the salty lake famed for an intense pink color.
