Our last Saturday in St Petersburg we gathered the local members of the family, Mike, Cathy, Matt, Emily, Ed, and “Uncle” Gary for a dinner at Midtown Sundries. It was that evening that all our favorite Midtown servers realized that we will be leaving within days. After dinner we went back to the apartment, aka The Big Empty. It’s interesting entertaining when the floor is just about the only seating available.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
