Blackberry Winter

Family

We woke up to snow falling and went to sleep to snow falling. And it fell nearly the whole time in between. With some trepidation we chose to drove to Asheville and join our friend, Kim, at a Westwood community dinner. We got there and home again safely but drove through blowing snow in both directions.
(Blackberry Winter is a cold snap that occurs after Spring has arrived. Some folks say it’s necessary to set the blackberry blossoms.)

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
