Work up to a quite chilly morning. Time for a fire in the wood stove! And sweaters. And hot spiced tea. Apples to slice for apple pie. Time to pick the last of the tomatoes even if they are green for it may freeze tonight and to cut the tomato leaves and vines up for a dye pot. The book says that with the right mordants we could get mint green wool yarn from them. We’ll find out.
