Mainely New Shoes

2013 New England, Maine, Road Trip, States

We’d been talking about getting new shoes, then last night it became imperative. Steve’s sole separated from his shoe. We identified a store in Bangor that carried the brands that we prefer so before heading into the remoter areas of Maine, we made a stop to re-shoe ourselves. And to treat ourselves to Lobster and Shrimp Nachos at Bugaboo Creek. Then we continued on US-2. Now our direction is more north than east. Our quest was to find the junction of US Highways 1 and 2. We found it in Houlton, Maine. Paused for the night at My Brother’s Place Campground just north of town.
