It’s starting to rain! We’ve been on the road for nearly eight weeks and neither of us can remember the last rain we saw. Everywhere the talk is of the drought and wildfires. We stopped at a pull off to gaze out over Strawberry Reservoir and not only could we see rain in the distance, it looked and smelled like a brief rain had fallen there. This may not last long but a little rain is welcome!

P.S. That rain didn’t last long. Just after we arrived in camp another brief storm arrived accompanied by intense gusts of winds. Plans to make dinner we delayed a little while we sought shelter inside the T@B.

Cape Town: African Wildlife Adventures

With a UNESCO World Heritage Site, two national parks, dozens of museums, and hundreds of tours offered in the Cape Town area there is more than plenty to do. For our two day visit we opted to concentrate on African wildlife visiting the Aquila Private Game Reserve and the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony for a wonderful chance to these fabulous animals in their own habitat.
