Many years ago we became friends with Ben and Lynda. As the years progressed or daughters became very best friends. Then their daughter and our son met independently of us and proceeded on a long and sometimes rocky road that led to their marriage two years ago. Now we four are expectant grandparents together. We came to Enfield for the baby shower and joined a house party in progress. By 7:30 this morning all guests but us two had left. We lingered for a quiet breakfast with Ben and Lynda before embarking on the next phase of our ramble.
