Getting Back to It

Family, Road Trip

We arrived here in St Petersburg early yesterday afternoon to reclaim our property after a great visit with Ed & Jane over lunch. Dinner time found us savoring an incredible meal with Michael, Cathy, Matt, Em, and Cathy’s niece. We slept in the T@B in Susan’s backyard and enjoyed breakfast with her. Mass at St Paul’s was an opportunity for hugs from many good friends. Midday we moved the T@B to Vivian’s driveway and spent the afternoon unpacking from the cruise, doing laundry, putting stuff away, and helping Viv get ready for company. Now it’s time to sit down to enjoy a some homemade chili, Super Bowl 50, and Vivian’s first party in her new home! It’s feeling good getting back to our little home.

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
