Successful Launch

Florida, Road Trip, States

On their fifth attempt, SpaceX successfully launched it’s SES-9 Communications satellite aboard a Falcon-9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center this evening. We were among those gathered on the edge of the Indian River due west of the launch site to watch. It was amazing to see. Now we await news as to whether the first stage landed on the unmanned barge. Apparently video cut out just before landing. There’s an unconfirmed rumour that it did indeed land. Guess we have to thank NC DMV for keeping us here long enough!

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
