Waking Up in Herkimer

2017 New England, New York, Road Trip

Yesterday as we were leaving Westfield NY,we had the GPS set for a state park not far from Fort Niagara north of Buffalo. Less than an hour later we’d talked with a friend in Vermont and reset the GPS. This morning we woke up with a view of mist rising from West Canada Creek through our stargazer window in northeastern New York. We ultimately decided we weren’t willing to give up the opportunity to see fall foliage in New England this trip.
