Winton Woods rather feels like home to us. It’s often where we put down stakes when we come to Cincinnati to visit family but this time we came to enjoy quiet and be alone after the wonderfully busy eleven days in Sugarcreek. It’s a Sunday night and much of the weekend crowd has left but there are still quite a few summer campers still here. We chose Site 55, an electric only site away from the playground, the lake view, and the full hookups. According to the office we’re likely to have no neighbors for our two night stay. It will give us a chance to relax and recharge a bit and also do a little big city shopping before heading to our mountain house.

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park

It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
