About midway between Holland and Traverse City we stopped at the E-Z Mart in Brohman, Michigan more because we needed a break than because we needed fuel. What a lucky break. We found a store that offered more than the usual convenience store fare. We got several items that were on our shopping list from lettuce and sour cream to Kahlúa and Dr. McGillicudy’s Cherry Liqueur as well as friendly conversation and a lot of interest in our cute little camper. What was striking was that everybody there seemed to know one another in true small town fashion.
