It’s a Holiday KOA with lots of campsites, we’re in 602 if that gives you a clue, and lots of activities. The Sunbury/Columbus North KOA really is a lovely weekend getaway place for families in the Columbus, Ohio area. Although we aren’t planning on participating in crafts, bingo, pedal boating, the Redneck Art X-Po, or a Hillybilly Wagon Ride, we have enjoyed the expansive grounds for a good long walk and the well stocked store for some groceries and ice cream. And in fact KOA corporate has sent photographers here this weekend for a marketing photo shoot. Actually we chose it because this is KOA’s VKR Appreciation Weekend. There are perks to being frequent KOA campers!
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Over a long weekend we sampled some of the myriad things to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, unique among national parks for it’s environmental reclamation, historic preservation, and recreational opportunities adjacent to the populous cities of Cleveland and Akron in northeastern Ohio. Can’t wait to return and explore more.
