Yes, it did snow a little bit last night. We awakened to blue skies, snow on the deck and in the yard, as well as freeze warnings through tomorrow morning. It's lovely out there but not enough of the white stuff for a snowball fight!

Snow?
We have been expecting freezing temperatures tonight but were shocked to turn on the deck lights and see a light dusting of snow! Well, March came in like a lamb!
A Different Kind of Warped
Anyone who has visited us at Tween Creeks in recent years has had to deal with our warped interior doors. They are difficult to latch, won't stay open, or won't stay closed. Â We've made arrangements to have them straightened and braced. Ken will take them one by one...
Finished Product
While we were off gallivanting this morning, Lynne stayed at the loom weaving. By lunchtime she had a respectably long scarf ready to cut off the loom. By mid-afternoon she had twisted and knotted the fringe and was modeling her "art project"., her first...
Since the Loom is Warped…
Lynne has been fascinated with Karen's loom ever since her first visit to Tween Creeks. Â Today she mentioned that she would like to try her hand at weaving. Since the loom was warped, that was an easy wish to fulfill. Now after a brief tutorial on treadling for...
Lynne Approves
Lynne arrived last evening for a weekend visit. Besides coming for the mountain scenery and the long conversations, she also wanted to check out our new T@B. She approves! And is coming up with even more ideas on how to make it our home.
A View from the Hammock
Officially it's Spring and the weather is beautiful. The sunshine and pleasant breeze have invited us outside to fill the hot tub, moan over the emerging weeds, sweep Creekside, check out the redbud tree we planted, and hang the hammock. Of course someone must test...
A Warp On
Not sure when the loom was last warped. It's been a while. But Karen's got a casual weaving student coming tomorrow. Sandi and her husband are bringing lunch and she will have her first experience with weaving, and hopefuly take home a handwoven scarf!
iPhone Adventures!
It started with an accidental drop. Karen's iPhone fell facedown onto our gravel driveway Saturday night and sustained a nasty crack in its glass. Â Today we took it to the cell phone emergency room for a new glass face. Then on to the cell phone emporium in...
Play Day!
Like little kids we went out to play in the snow. Went sledding, built a snowman and named him Henry, knocked on the neighbor's door to see if they wanted to come out to play, and loaned them our sleds! how long has it been since you built a snowman?

Over the last several years we’ve had the distinct pleasure of many cross country journeys traveling though the Lower 48 in tents and our various teardrop campers as well as an amazing Alaska adventure that did not involve a camper.

Heading West
Now that we're down to more southern latitudes, we're enjoying warmer weather. We're contemplating putting away the cold weather gear for a while and de-winterizing the camper. Our plan at this point is to begin moving westward but not too quickly. For now we're doing...
H&H Soul Food
Let's just say that Macon, Georgia is worth a visit. For us for so many years, it was a location to pass by on I-75 when going from here to there. Then just recently we realized that the Ocmulgee Mounds site was immediately adjacent to the site. We booked a campsite...
Ocmulgee Mounds
Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park has been a place of human habitation for 12,000-17,000 years. The first peoples here alongside the Ocmulgee (oak-muhl -ghee) River near what is now Macon, Georgia, were Paleo-Indians - big game hunters just after the last ice...
