Bellisimo & Xanadu
What a fun evening! There were ten of us for dinner at Bellisimo's. All family or friends that are like family. Excellent food and great conversation. Then eight of us continued on to OnStage in Bedford for a delightful community theater rendition of Xanadu. Four of...
Flamingo Pink
Yesterday we put together a care package for Alice but today when we visited we brought a box of goodies for Ken. Perhaps the mason jar mug inscription best defined the theme. It read "Live, Laugh, Party"! Pink forks, a flamingo, water pistols, silly string, and more....
Quick Thai
We've been hearing about Lynette & Mike for thirty years. We finally met them tonight when we joined them and there daughter & boyfriend for dinner. The Thai was tasty though not really quick but the conversation was so animated that the delay in service was...
Chocolate Makes Everything Better
We and Patti visited Alice & Ken today. We arrived bearing a basket of support with chocolate, tea, a kazoo, flamingo feathers, and other fun stuff. It was a good visit with them and with Genny. Lots of hugs and laughter! It was good to be there.
Oodles of Cats
To say that Rebecca really really really loves cats is a bit of an understatement.
Moon Over Bedford
Juno, Pat, Mark, and we went for a walk this evening in search of a sunset view. We were rewarded with a great view of a full moon on a pleasantly warm Bedford evening. It does feel good to be hanging with family even as we wait for news and pray for Ken.
Blue Skies and Busy Highways

Was Edmund at Vicksburg?
Family stories say that Karen's great grandfather lied about his age in order to sign up to fight for the Confederacy even as his father was an officer in the Union army. Records we found on the Fold3 website indicated he fought and was taken prisoner at Vicksburg....
Crawfish Pie and Family Stories
We spent a delightful afternoon with cousins, Dick and his daughter Betty. We swapped family stories and learned more about Dick's WW II service with the 20th Armored Division. He told tales of Steve's dad as a young man and of New Year's Eve parties at Steve's...

Sky Bar Reprise
Tonight is the last of four one night stops this week. We stayed here at Big Snow Ski Resort near Wakefield MI last year on a Friday night. That time we were among several Harvest Hosts guests. Tonight we are the lone camper and have a prime spot in the shade with...
