The Longest Day

Alaska, Road Trip, States

It was a wonderful but incredibly long day. It started well before dawn. It was still dark when we arrived at Tampa Airport. We rode in a shuttle van with the Hamiltons and Eanes so the party started early. At Tampa Airport we saw the sun rise. We haven’t seen it set yet. After three plane rides, a long layover in Seattle, a delay waiting for luggage that never arrived at Fairbanks Airport, and finally a bus ride to Sophie Station Hotel, we are finally ending the day something like 22 hours after the day started.

Imperial War Museum
