Spent part of the day getting the household back to normal after the excitement of the Christmas holidays. Spent the evening with friends. Konni and Heinz are visiting from Germany and joined us for dinner downtown and for dancing at the Savoy South Make Believe Ballroom. We always enjoy their visits. This time we looked at pictures of their hometown on the internet. At the dance, CJ was joined by friend Des, a fellow Chemistry student and former lab partner.
 
A visit to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden gave us insight into the evolution and role of public transportation in the creation of London as a great metropolitan area.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
