California or Bust

Family

As we checked in at the Southwest counter in Tampa, we were greeted with the news that due to high winds and rain in the San Francisco area that there was a chance that our flight would be delayed, rerouted, or cancelled. We made it to the Las Vegas airport without incident but the monitor in LAS lied when it said our SFO flight would depart on time. Indeed we were an hour and a half late arriving in San Francisco but we had it much better than some of our flight mates who had already made two attempts to fly into the bay area and had landed back in Las Vegas each of those times. It was one of those flights when the passengers break into applause when the plane touches down on the runway!

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
