The weather continued to be cold – at least for our Florida blood – and windy. We enjoyed the opportunity to sit around in comfy recliners enjoying the fire in the woodstove and reading novels. When Bill got home from work we made a delicious dinner – wish we could make grilled chicken that good – then went with Bill to the rehearsal of the Eldorado Community Band. For folks like us who have little or no experience playing in a band, it was fascinating and educational.

Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
