Friend Gary finally arrived today at Asheville airport. His flight into Atlanta was delayed due to bad weather. We needed nourishment on the way home so we stopped at Barber Orchards to get apple turnovers as well as lots of fruit to take down to family and friends when we travel to Florida next week.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
