And We Partied

Road Trip

Sunday night’s dinner party was just the start. Gary came by. Dinner for three cooked and eaten inside the trailer, that’s a new experience for us! And then Vivian joined us for a couple of hours visit. We realized a need to find a way to accommodate a fourth person at the table.! Monday morning we met Pete & Debi at a local eatery that we all love then hosted them for a visit in the 400. A camp stool at the end of the table proves to be a comfortable situation for that fourth person! Lunch time found us in downtown St Petersburg meeting Vivian at her office then walking to The Oyster Bar for lunch. Just had to take a photo of The Signature! This edifice was under construction during the two years we lived in this downtown and we took many a snapshot as it rose into the sky. Then as evening neared we joined family and friends to celebrate Ed’s birthday! It was a particularly special event and we were pleased to be a part of the festivities!

On Tuesday morning we departed from Fort DeSoto Site 201, our new favorite, to head to the Gateway area but paused in the morning mist to hobnob with a tiny teardrop owner!

At Gateway we rendezvoused with our friend Sally.

She was wowed by this beautiful trailer! While showing off the 400 and picking her brain for decor ideas there in the shopping center parking lot, we attacted a bit of attention, answered a few questions and gave an additional tour or two before heading to The Ale House for a yummy shrimp feast. As we were leaving the restaurant we encountered a former co-worker of Steve’s and next thing we knew five of us were gathered in the T@B 400! Our biggest T@B 400 party to date!

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park

It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
