A swing back into Ohio wasn’t part of our plan until we experienced heavy rains in New York and realized the stargazer wasn’t perfectly watertight. So we made a trip to nüCamp by way of Lisbon OH. Fortunately the seal was easily set right. It also gave us the opportunity to pick up the PahaQue awning we’d recently ordered from Sugarcreek based All Pro Adventures and tried it out here in Coshocton. It’s going to add a whole new dimension to travels in the 400!
For our first adventure together on the Emerald Isle, we walked the streets of Cobh, County Cork, explored St Colman’s Cathedral, and visited the Cobh Heritage Center.
It was fifty years ago next month that the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy. Today we had the distinct privilege of visiting some of the places important in that offensive which ultimately led the Allied victory in the Second World War.
Our brief stop in Portland Port in Dorset, England yielded just enough time to get a tiny taste of the historic town of Weymouth, a Cream Tea, and a desire to return.
