We’ve made a decision. We’ll put 14 inch porcelain tile in the kitchen and baths and 7.5 inch reclaimed heart of pine wood floors in the rest of the house. One exciting thing about the pine flooring is that it is reclaimed from a Nineteenth Century textile mill in Virginia.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
