We heard rain in the roof during the night, woke up to rain and cloud covered mountains out our living room windows, saw the weather report calling for rain all day and night, and decided it was not a good day for gardening! We did take a walk to see how the road was faring in the deluge – it looks like our water diversion techniques are working! But in general our plan for the day involves indoor activity.
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
