There must be something magnetic about this place. There’s so many pretty places and interesting things to do in Michigan but as soon as we started to near Mackinaw we felt a pull to the Tahquamenon River. We’re staying in Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the Rivermouth Campground just a short walk from the spot on the riverbank where we witnessed a most colorful sunset this week in September 2012 when we were here in our Silver Shadow.

With a UNESCO World Heritage Site, two national parks, dozens of museums, and hundreds of tours offered in the Cape Town area there is more than plenty to do. For our two day visit we opted to concentrate on African wildlife visiting the Aquila Private Game Reserve and the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony for a wonderful chance to these fabulous animals in their own habitat.
