Needing to replenish some energy expended by exploring Old North Columbus, the neighborhood of The Ohio State University, we stopped into Buckeye Donuts on High Street. It’s a friendly indie eatery that’s been here for forty-seven years. They were impressed that it was Karen’s first visit back to the neighborhood for many many years. Their Buckeye (chocolate and peanut butter iced) donut is famous but their Red Velvet donut is not to be missed!
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Over a long weekend we sampled some of the myriad things to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, unique among national parks for it’s environmental reclamation, historic preservation, and recreational opportunities adjacent to the populous cities of Cleveland and Akron in northeastern Ohio. Can’t wait to return and explore more.
