We crossed the border from NY and drove north with the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain on our left and the Green Mountains on our right. One of our first adventures in Vermont was to take the T@B-400 over/through a covered bridge thanks to a Maps app offer to route us around rush hour traffic on Highway 7. In Shelburne we settled into our site before making the short trip into South Burlington for dinner with friends Jane, Jean Elizabeth, and Rich. It was a warm welcome from the get go, a reunion with Jane and JE, and a getting to know you with Rich not to mention the delicious dinner followed by homemade pie. Just don’t ask about the Fascinating Facts Game!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
I loved having you both in VT and giving me the chance to show
off my beautiful state. Thank you for the bonus history lessons!
My humble abode, as well as Vermont, anxiously awaits your next visit.
Safe travels to you, wherever your journey takes you. You will always be
near and dear to my heart.
