Actually it’s a really rainy day outdoors, perfect for hanging out with all the lights on and jazz streaming from our iTunes account while we work on the Things to Do list. Suddenly it was a Sunny Day indoors when we realized we were listening to the Oscar Peterson Trio performance of the Sesame Street theme and started dancing in the living room. It triggered a memory from September 1970 of hearing the song Rubber Duckie playing on WGGG Radio in Gainesville just as the two of us were beginning our professional studies at UF and at USF. We treasure those little memories that come from a long shared history!
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
