Ever since we first crossed the Straits of Mackinac via the Mackinac Bridge, also known as the Mighty Mac and as the Big Mac Bridge, in 2012 we’ve been fascinated with this engineering wonder. This 5th longest suspension bridge in the world weighs more than a million tons and includes 42,000 miles of cables! Not only that it does an amazing job of connecting Michigan’s Lower and Upper Peninsulas.

It was a fabulous opportunity to not only view the 2024 Solar Eclipse from within the path of totality but also to enjoy a five day weekend with friends from the T@B trailer community at Ohio’s East Harbor State Park on the shore of Lake Erie.
Spent a most enjoyable March sunny day watching alligators and hiking in St Mark’s National Wildlife Refuge south of Tallahassee, Florida.
Sharon & I just got back from there 2 weeks ago. We rented a bike and rode the 8.2 miles around the Mackinac Island, dodging meadow muffins!
