Denise and Brian were married today in a beautiful ceremony at St Andrew Catholic Church in Milford, Ohio. It was a wonderful family gathering and we enjoyed the opportunity to visit with Steve's Aunt Vi and Uncle Neil and lots of cousins, some of our favorite people!

Tetris in 3D
Another trip to our house in the mountains. We stowed stuff in the downstairs bedroom. Most of the stuff was in small packages and easy to store in spaces between furniture already there. In fact when we left it didn't look as if we'd added anything. We spent a few...
Long Trip with a Refreshing End
After a twelve hour trip with the Impala's back seat and trunk filled almost beyond capacity we refueled at the Irish Pub in Sylva. The beer was great. Tomorrow we get to unload the car, but a good night's sleep at the Comfort Inn first.
Old Tavern Pine
For most of the thirty-five years that we have lived with our beautiful Old Tavern Pine bedroom set, there has been a bumper sticker on the mirror. That sticker now has new meaning. We'd both rather be in North Carolina than keep our treasured furniture since it won't...
Fun in the Sun
Friend Alex invited us out for an afternoon of sailing aboard the 33 ft sailboat he is restoring. It was a wonderful afternoon on Tampa Bay.
She’s a Redhead!
In preparation for her plans to costume herself as Poison Ivy for the Batman opening at midnight tomorrow, CJ has transformed herself from a dark blonde with red hightlights to a redhead!
A Bit of Old St Petersburg
A walk through downtown and memories of days gone by. New construction where the old Aunt Hattie's restaurant building was recently demolished, the lovingly restored Perry Snell house on the USF-SP campus, and the Mound Park Hospital building nestled in the middle of...
A Little Project on a Little Loom
Just a little project using leftover yarns. Soon the rigid heddle loom will be on loan to brother Michael while we're off on our camping trip. Wanted to whip up a scarf while I still have a chance to weave.
Dismantling Our Entertainment
Early Monday morning we began the process of dismantling the electronic equipment. We'll keep the VCR handy until after the Black Adder party Friday night. After that we'll pack it all up including the TV. Fear not. We can still watch 99 channels on our iMac using our...
Fun with Mark
After Saturday's open studios silversmith friend, Mark came over to our apartment to get a look at our Macintosh computers and Apple TV set up since he had just purchased a new iMac this week. He also got a chance to give some of Karen's pottery a good home.

Over the last several years we’ve had the distinct pleasure of many cross country journeys traveling though the Lower 48 in tents and our various teardrop campers as well as an amazing Alaska adventure that did not involve a camper.

OUR VERY

Venturing Out
Believe it or not, we’re on the road, prompted by an appointment in Sugarcreek that we made back in January for a couple of mods. We also see it as a test of a couple of things. Can we travel with our T@B 400 and social distance? And can we incorporate features of our...
Observing the Solstice
It’s a rare treat for us to be celebrating Midsummer here on our mountainside enjoying cool misty mornings, sunny afternoons, pleasant evenings, oh yeah, and a fair number of rain showers. But then again that helps explain these lush green woods. The rhododendron are...
Remembering Alaska
Fourteen years ago today after three years of planning, forty-four friends embarked on a two week adventure to the Land of the Midnight Sun, just in time for the Summer Solstice. From Fairbanks and Denali to Ketchican and the Inside Passage we had one fabulous...
