Unlike the Steve and Karen who lived in downtown St Petersburg and dined out “all the time”, we cook at home. We have yet to avail ourselves of a farmers market but we are constantly on the prowl for quality fruits and vegetables. We bake bread and biscuits, make semolina noodles, and an occasional fruit pie. We actually surprise ourselves when we have an opportunity to eat out and realize that we would really rather go home and cook!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
