There’s nothing quite like a visit with Pete, Debi, Anne, and Al. Not only are they all welcoming and convivial but they offer us wonderful homemade goodies, wholesome food and delightful libations. Tonight was a fabulous roast pork meal preceded by cocktails topped off with homemade creme brulee and Anne’s amazing macarons. This time we’re enjoying being houseguests for a couple of nights before we begin our trek back to NC.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
It was our pleasure to host you for part of your visit. Thanks for the compliments on the dinner, and so glad you enjoyed Anne’s latest “mastery” of macarons!
Glad to be part of your “southern swing” 2017!
