It’s been an amazing journey these last sixteen years. In early 2009 we knew we were interested in obtaining our first RV to give us more comfort and security than the tent we traveled with on our three month cross country trip the previous fall. That’s when we met Joe Mullet who was building Silver Shadow teardrop trailers one at a time in his three car garage in Sugarcreek, Ohio. What we didn’t know at the time was that besides acquiring a most comfortable way to travel we were entering into an incredibly profound relationship and a place in what would come to be known as the nüCamp Family. Since then we have traveled for four years in that 5×10 Silver Shadow then for four years in a T@B Clamshell and for the last eight years in T@B 400s. We’ve experienced incredible customer experience and built some amazing friendships with the members of the nüCamp team. That said, we recently came to realize that the time had come for us to graduate. We’ve had such incredible adventures crisscrossing the country, visiting the forty-eight states multiple times, exploring national parks, state parks, UNESCO sites and so many worthwhile places. We have come to feel as if all the US is our own backyard. Then two years ago we first visited London and discovered there’s so much yet for us to discover beyond the US borders. And we’re ready to do more of that. So when we arrived at üCamp25 on Sunday, the day before the event was scheduled to begin we knew this would be our last üCamp and that we had Bell@, our beloved 2021 T@B 400, for sale expecting to put it on the market in May when we return from some extended international travels. As we went through the week hobnobbing with so many wonderful folks with whom we’ve been building relationships through the many years of teardrop rallies we came to realize that we could still have a place in this community even if we no longer owned a nüCamp unit. Not only that but we wouldn’t need to wait to sell Bell@. By Tuesday we had a strong prospective buyer, by Wednesday we had a second one, by Thursday we had a significant deposit. But the most touching part of the whole week was when Joe Mullet, founder of nüCamp RV got up and spoke at breakfast the final morning. He started talking about a special couple who had contributed much to the community through the years. He called us forward so he could present us with the “Legacy Campers Award: Celebrating Your Long-Standing Impact and Dedication to the nüCamp Family”. In front of all assembled he reversed the concept that this would be our last üCamp but said we’d be back next year and he’d offer us a camper to stay in for the week. The community honored us with a standing ovation! Wow! Now eleven days later we’ve met up with Bell@’s new owner at the nüCamp Service Center in Sugarcreek and completed the transfer. We worked with the service center team to assure we were turning the camper over to her in its best possible condition. We’re wishing her and her canine companions incredible adventures as she pursues her dream of traveling and painting. Once she had the keys and was off to get her temporary tags for the journey back to Minnesota, we went across the street to spend a couple minutes with some of our long time friends at the factory and celebrate our new status as nüCamp Owners Emeritus before getting some celebratory ice cream at Wall House Coffee then making the trip home without Bell@ in our rearview mirrors. Now to finish packing for our next adventure. Our suitcases begin the journey on Friday. If you care to follow us on our continuing adventures, scroll to the bottom of this page to subscribe. Big move to sell your beloved Bell@! You two are truly ambassadors for them.
Best wishes for your next chapter. Keep in touch.

Indeed it wasn’t the easiest decision. Teardrop campers have been a big part of our lives for a long time but we were anxious to continue to travel in ways that don’t involve towing a camper. Good to hear from you two. Hope all is well with you.
We are honored to have been friends since our first uCamp 2017. Our prayers go with you on your next travel adventures, expanding your knowledge and appreciation for different countries and cultures. Cheers
It’s been a joy following your adventures through the years. Let us know when you get the videos posted. Happy Trails!
Congratulations to your cool Award!
Happy Travelling.
Hope all is well with you two!
Constant inspiration is what U2 offer to. Anyone fortunate enough to step into the loving circle of influence that you share with everyone within smiling distance. RICH and I are so grateful to have met you years ago and even more so now when we too are beginning to explore “beyond the states“ by the end of this year, we will check off Australia in our roster of bucket list adventures. Keep those wonderful writings coming! And we can’t wait to see you again at the NuCamp rally 2026. I’m sure someone will have room for you in a new camper! Wink
